Our body is listening and watching all of the time- every image we have in our
mind releases a chemical or chemicals in our body.
Put your mind in a place that feels good and the body feels good.

I spent a few, as always, magical days in the Eastern Sierra this last week. As I arrived a front was passing through and a strong wind and light dusting of snow welcomed my arrival. The next morning I awoke to crisp and calm brilliant blue skies. I then headed out with my man and my pup, Toots…. After hiking all day in the John Muir Wilderness in the Cottonwood Lakes area I stopped to read John Muir’s words at the trailhead.
“I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out
till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.”
Needless to say, nature therapy is priceless. Later in Bishop I met up with some wonderful locals and learned the meaning of Inyo (the magnificent Inyo County of the Eastern Sierra)- dwelling place of the great spirit.

Hypnotherapy is a western approach and application of meditation. Modern therapeutic modalities are used while the client is in a relaxed state. Imagine a persistant, limiting belief is a train that rolls through your thoughts regularly. And its caboose carries unpleasant emotions. In hypnotherapy the person stops the train, unloads everything that no longer serves him or her, changes the train to, lets say, a breeze… and fills it with the best thoughts and emotions the person could ever imagine holding and experiencing day in and day out.
This is the power of your mind. Come and learn more.

So I was listening to a John Lennon song the other night on Pandora when I heard a very familiar phrase. In his song “Beautiful Boy” John Lennon quotes Emile Coue, one of the early pioneers of hypnosis. In the song he sings the wonderful suggestion and famous Coueism,
Every day,… in every way,… it’s getting better and better.
Yep, flourishing souls nourish themselves with great thoughts and vibrations.

One of the greatest problems in history is that the concepts of love and power have usually been contrasted as opposites- polar opposites- so that love is identified with a resignation of power and power with a denial of love. Now we’ve got to get this thing right. What is needed is a realization that power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without power is sentimental and anemic.
